The 1" edge-terminated, dual-diaphragm transducer combined with the low-noise electronic circuitry provide a wide dynamic range of 134 dB and can handle SPL up to 158 dB, for a detailed, linear, and natural tone. With full immunity to electromagnetic and electrostatic interference as well as high tolerance to humidity, the C414 XLII is well suited to withstand the rigors of demanding studio, stage, and broadcast applications. Special features include a peak-hold LED to alert you if overloading occurs, and a lock mode that prevents unintended changes to the microphone settings. The package includes a vibration-inhibiting shockmount, a pop filter, a windscreen, and a metal carrying case.

Nine Selectable Polar Patterns
The C414 XLII is the multi-instrumentalist in your microphone rig ready to fill in wherever needed. Whether it's omni, wide cardioid, cardioid, hypercardioid, figure-8, or the four intermediate polar patterns, there are plenty of ways to get the most natural sound from any instrument—electric and acoustic guitars, drums, and much more. Employ a hypercardioid pattern to reduce drum spill, then quickly switch to a figure-8 pattern to balance out two vocalists. These easy-to-access options make the AKG C414 XLII suitable to any studio with limited space in its mic locker.
Overload-Detection LED and Bass-Cut Filter
The AKG C414 XLII empowers you to make better recordings. When acting as both artist and engineer, the mic's overload-detection LED makes it easy to see when your input levels are too high. This helps you take full advantage of the mic's dynamic range and only engage the pad when necessary. Its bass-cut filter helps you curb rumbles, vibrations, and loud, boomy sounds and minimizes the proximity effect for balanced recordings. For live sound applications and permanent installations, all controls can easily be disabled for trouble-free use.
Rugged Metal Housing
The all-metal body ensures efficient rejection of RF interference so you can use the microphone near transmitter stations, along with wireless microphones or other communications equipment.

Returns Policy
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the 'Complete Orders' link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
Easy 30 Day Return Policy
If you are dissatisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may return it to Kellards within 30 days of the purchase date, subject to the conditions and exclusions below.
You may initiate a return or exchange by requesting an RMA at sales@kellards.com.
Securely affix your return label to the outside of the shipping package. Return shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer. We recommend you ship via insured ground service with a tracking number. We cannot be responsible for lost packages.

Please read conditions below. If all conditions are not met, Kellards reserves the right to refuse the return or to charge a minimum 15% restocking fee. All returned items must be in new condition, in their original unaltered box (including an intact UPC code) and must include all packing material, blank warranty cards, manuals and accessories. Kellards can only refund the original purchase price. Shipping and handling fees are nonrefundable.
