ESI cosMik 10 Large-Diaphragm Cardioid Condenser Microphone
With its stylish black-and-copper color scheme and compact body, the ESI cosMik 10 is an attractive and affordable studio microphone for vocalists, musicians, and podcasters. Utilizing a 1" large-diaphragm condenser capsule, the cosMik 10 offers a 30 Hz to 18 kHz frequency response and a high maximum SPL of 135 dB, making it well suited for an array of instruments as well as the human voice.
The circuitry in the cosMik 10 helps it maintain ultralow self-noise performance (just 5 dBA), so your recordings will be free of the hiss commonly induced by many budget microphones. Being a condenser, the microphone runs on standard 48V phantom power. ESI eXtra 10 Monitoring Headphones with dSONIQ Realphones Modeling Software
Bundled with specially tuned modeling software, the ESI eXtra 10 monitoring headphones are designed to provide producers, home recordists, and traveling engineers with the experience of checking mixes on various monitoring systems such as hi-fi speakers, earbuds, and portable devices. The dSONIQ Realphones ESI Edition software, which can run as a DAW plug-in or standalone program, offers a host of selections and adjustable settings for the room, speakers, EQ, and more.
The headphones utilize an over-ear design with half-closed-back earcups for a blend of comfort, moderate noise isolation, and natural response. Equipped with large 50mm neodymium dynamic drivers, they are capable of reproducing a broad frequency range from 15 Hz to 29 kHz. The 8' single-sided cable is terminated with a 3.5mm mini plug for compatibility with desktop and laptop computers as well as many mobile devices. A gold-plated 1/4" screw-on adapter is included to enable proper connection to an audio interface or external headphone amp.
Headphones and Modeling Software
The eXtra 10 headphones are a combination of lightweight, half-closed-back headphones and a modeling plug-in for binaural perception. With the included dSONIQ Realphones ESI Edition, which can be used as a DAW plug-in or standalone software, you can get true studio control room sound with your headphones, no matter where you are.
Optimally Adapted
The physical characteristics of the eXtra 10 form the basis for the adaptation of the popular dSONIQ software. Through months of fine-tuning, the ESI Edition has been optimally adapted to the ESI headphones down to the smallest detail. The result is a combination of solid audio hardware and an innovative technology designed to make the sound reproduction as reliable and precise as a high-quality monitoring system in the studio.
Presets for Fast Mix Checks
With Realphones, your eXtra 10 become a reliable monitoring tool for mixing tracks, whether on the road or in the studio. Plus, a single mouse click is all it takes to make them sound like hi-fi speakers, earbuds, or a portable device. Thanks to the software, you can check your final mix without even taking off your headphones.
Designed for Long Sessions
The eXtra 10 headphones are lightweight while providing clear and accurate reproduction for monitoring purposes in the studio, even without the dSONIQ software. Designed to adjust automatically to any head size and outfitted with extra durable and isolated earpads, the eXtra 10s are built for comfort when used for longer periods. Delivering a wide range with specially selected transducers, you will be able to listen to all the details of your mix across the whole frequency response.
ESI MoCo Passive Monitor Controller
The ESI MoCo Passive Monitor Controller not only attenuates volume, but provides input and output switching to different monitor sets. Two sets of inputs can be sent to either of two sets of outputs (no balanced to unbalanced conversion). This way, your audio interface's balanced output can be sent to one of two sets of monitors, or select a secondary audio source to be output via either of those monitors. The front panel contains the large central knob, which drives a high-quality volume potentiometer, input and output selection buttons, plus an L/R switch and mono mixdown buttons.
- High-quality potentiometer for passive volume control
- A/B input selection switch
- L/R switch to swap left & right audio channels
- Independent A and B buttons to enable and disable the outputs
- Mono downmix button (mixes left to right channel and right to left channel)
- Mute button to silence output signal instantly
