In the 1980s and 1990s, cassette tapes were extremely popular, and thus cassette players remained popular for many generations. However, nowadays the availability of new cassette players is almost non-existent, making the initial stages of the CP13 project extremely difficult, almost leading to its cancellation.
However, after investing a lot of time and effort, we were able to slowly continue working on CP13, leading to its current version. We may miss the classics, but we are always looking for new ways to present music. We want to be able to relive the days when pure analog sound was known and common.
Custom components
After much trial and error, we carefully selected rare materials to ultimately obtain a mechanism design that is more stable than many other mass-produced designs. We also decided to simplify motion as much as possible by removing the recording and auto-rewind functions to focus on ensuring maximum audio quality.
Large pure copper flywheel
The CP13 uses a custom, oversized pure copper flywheel with a diameter of 30.4 mm and a thickness of 4 mm. It is made of higher quality materials and is larger than those typically used in cassette players. This allows the tape spool to move as smoothly as possible during playback and therefore keeps vibrations very low, ultimately resulting in a more stable, better quality sound.
Power supply to the motor with high voltage
The CP13 motor is powered by a high voltage 4.2V power supply, which is quite a bit higher than the 1.8V or 3V typically found in today's cassette players. This power supply works with the motor's speed stabilization circuit, which increases motor resistance when needed to ensure a stable speed of movement - which limits unwanted pitch changes and also allows the CP13 to support a wider range of cassette types.
Custom head with balanced amplification
The head is one of the key components of every tape recorder, which is why we use high-quality ones for the CP13, even if they are expensive. Moreover, we tightly control the way the CP13 is made to ensure minimal differences in output between the left and right channels, much smaller than typical cassette players today. The magnetic head also uses a thickened cover, which better protects the head against external interference. This also significantly reduces wear on the head during playback, allowing it to last longer.
Unlike the single-ended signal acquisition typically found in current cassette players, the CP13 uses a differential circuit to balanced signal acquisition from the head, ensuring more stable signal transmission, higher signal-to-noise ratio and lower distortion.
Fully analog circuit
100% pure analog sound
To ensure true analog playback, the entire CP13 audio circuit uses analog devices - from the magnetic tape head through to signal amplification. The result is a classic, completely analog sound.
Audiophile JRC5532 operational amplifier
The CP13 uses the famous JRC5532, known to some as the classic "king of operational amplifiers". This amplifier features a fully analog audio circuit, providing a familiar, pleasant sound that is sure to impress fans of analog sound.
A fusion of squares and roundings
Two-color aluminum alloy housing
CP13 has a carefully crafted two-color, all-aluminum housing. The clearly visible '0' screws, which perfectly complement the square yet rounded design, mean that the CP13 is an example of beauty coexisting in harmony with ergonomics. CP13 buttons undergo a hard oxidation process, making them more resistant to wear and corrosion. Behind the aluminum alloy volume control knob there is a large, analog potentiometer, which, compared to flat potentiometers used in cassette players, is not only more reliable and provides a more stable sound, but also simply gives a better impression during use.
Long battery life
13 hours of operation
The CP13 uses an 1800 mAh lithium battery, selected for its ability to provide solid power for longer periods of time than regular batteries. In fact, the CP13 battery allows you to achieve 13 hours of operation and 268 days in standby mode.

The CP13 is powered by a lithium battery that can be charged via the USB Type-C port when connected to a 5V power supply.

Compact design
FIIO engineers paid great attention to making the CP13 as compact as possible. By integrating ingenuity in manufacturing and structural design, the CP13 is only 31.8mm thick, making it thinner and more compact than most cassette players currently in production.

Returns Policy
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you are dissatisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may return it to Kellards within 30 days of the purchase date, subject to the conditions and exclusions below.
You may initiate a return or exchange by requesting an RMA at sales@kellards.com.
Securely affix your return label to the outside of the shipping package. Return shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer. We recommend you ship via insured ground service with a tracking number. We cannot be responsible for lost packages.

Eligibility Conditions
Please read conditions below. If all conditions are not met, Kellards reserves the right to refuse the return or to charge a minimum 15% restocking fee. All returned items must be in new condition, in their original unaltered box (including an intact UPC code) and must include all packing material, blank warranty cards, manuals and accessories. Kellards can only refund the original purchase price. Shipping and handling fees are nonrefundable.

Defective or Damaged Items
Defective items may be repaired, exchanged or refunded at our discretion for the same model or manufacturer's equivalent model.

Please allow 3-5 business days for mail-in exchanges to be processed.

Once we receive and inspect your item(s), we will credit your account. Please allow 5-7 days for a credit to appear on your account. In most cases, we will issue your refund in the same way you made the original purchase.
