AMX features two sets of audio inputs, selectable as Line or Phono, to accept signals from Serato time-code vinyl, also known as Serato Noise Map. This Digital Vinyl System (DVS) lets you DJ with your digital music collection, while maintaining the feel and action of a turntable vinyl setup.
AMX is a rock-solid, affordable interface that fuses the best of analog feel with the best of digital music access.
By themselves, the EQ and Filter knobs on AMX are tactile, responsive controls for shaping tracks and carving out transitions. These knobs also incorporate a dramatic “twist”: knobs that react to the human touch. In Touch mode, each knob responds to a twist, a touch, or a combination of both.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the full version of Serato DJ included with the Akai Professional AMX?
Yes. The full version of Serato DJ is included in the Akai Professional AMX purchase price.
Does this mean that DJs now have a Serato DVS solution for under $349?
Yes. With the Akai Professional AMX being introduced at $249, and the Serato DVS expansion pack priced at $99, DJs can get into using Serato DVS with their existing CD players and turntables.
When I connect my vinyl turntables to my phono/line inputs, I keep getting a low signal sound regardless how much I adjust my gain. What should I do?
It is recommended that users connect the AMX to the USB port closest to their power supply. This USB port will draw the most power to their AMX controller. Since the AMX controller doesn't have a power supply, it only draws power from the USB port.
My Akai AMX is not recognized in Serato DJ. Why is this?
Firstly make sure you're running Serato DJ 1.7.1 as the Akai AMX requires this version. The AMX will not work in versions of Serato DJ prior to 1.7.1. The expected release for version 1.7.1 is early October 2014.
Second, if you are on a Windows computer make sure that you have installed the AMX drivers which are available in the Download section of the product page.

Returns Policy
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the 'Complete Orders' link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

If you are dissatisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may return it to Kellards within 30 days of the purchase date, subject to the conditions and exclusions below.

Securely affix your return label to the outside of the shipping package. Return shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer. We recommend you ship via insured ground service with a tracking number. We cannot be responsible for lost packages.

All returned items must be in new condition, in their original unaltered box (including an intact UPC code) and must include all packing material, blank warranty cards, manuals and accessories. Kellards can only refund the original purchase price. Shipping and handling fees are nonrefundable.

Defective or Damaged Items
Defective items may be repaired, exchanged or refunded at our discretion for the same model or manufacturer's equivalent model.
Exchanges
Please allow 3-5 business days for mail-in exchanges to be processed.
Refunds & Credits
Once we receive and inspect your item(s), we will credit your account. Please allow 5-7 days for a credit to appear on your account. In most cases, we will issue your refund in the same way you made the original purchase.
