The ADI-2/4 Pro EX features a locking USB-C connector for host connections, providing reliable performance in both studio and mobile environments. Balanced line input impedance can be switched between 94 and 47 kilohms. Combined with a ground terminal and RIAA equalization support in Line mode, the ADI-2/4 Pro EX is well suited for turntables and other grounded audio equipment. Enhanced analog circuitry includes reference levels down to -35 dBu and ELAR (Extended Linear Analog Range) technology for exceptional transparency and highly linear frequency response.

SteadyClock EX provides highly accurate internal clock performance and fine adjustment of ±50 ppm in 0.1 ppm increments. Connectivity includes XLR/TRS combo inputs, XLR outputs, dual independent 1/4-inch headphone outputs, a balanced 4.4 mm headphone output, balanced 1/4-inch line outputs, a 3.5 mm trigger output, optical TOSLINK I/O, and a DB9 connector supporting S/PDIF and AES3 connections. The ADI-2/4 Pro EX includes a USB-C cable and power supply.

Advanced ESS Conversion

The ADI-2/4 Pro EX incorporates RME's latest converter architecture featuring the ESS9823Pro A/D converter and ESS9039Q2M D/A converter. This design delivers improved signal-to-noise ratio, reduced distortion, and enhanced conversion accuracy. Combined with optimized analog circuitry and SteadyClock EX technology, the unit provides transparent sound reproduction and exceptional clock stability.

Enhanced Connectivity

A lockable USB-C connector replaces the previous USB connection while maintaining USB 2.0 compatibility. The durable connector ensures secure operation in professional studio and mobile environments, and a matching 5.9-foot USB-C cable is included.

Advanced Protection Circuitry

The hardware has been further refined with multiple protection features. A channel-independent DC protection circuit safeguards each headphone output individually, while an active fuse-less power supply protection system detects incorrect polarity and overvoltage conditions before damage can occur.

For greater installation flexibility, the ADI-2/4 Pro EX includes a dedicated ground terminal for connecting turntables or establishing an earth connection when required. The unit is also compatible with the RM19-III rackmount adapter.

SteadyClock EX: Factory-Calibrated Clock Precision

SteadyClock FS has been expanded with factory calibration of the internal clock to an accuracy of ±1 ppm. Users can also adjust the internal sampling rate by ±50 ppm in 0.1 ppm increments, enabling precise synchronization with external equipment without requiring a dedicated word clock connection.

Extended Analog Performance

The analog input section has been significantly expanded. Reference levels now reach down to -35 dBu, allowing direct connection of dynamic microphones and supporting a wider range of recording applications. RIAA equalization is available in Line mode (0 dB gain), enabling the use of external phono preamps while simplifying integration with moving coil cartridge systems.

Selectable balanced input impedances of 94 and 47 kilohms provide optimal matching for balanced moving magnet cartridges. The improved signal-to-noise performance of the updated DAC further reduces headphone output noise floor levels for both balanced and unbalanced operation.

Extended Linear Analog Range (ELAR)

The ADI-2/4 Pro EX features a refined version of Extended Linear Analog Range (ELAR) technology, designed to maintain maximum signal integrity throughout the entire analog signal path. ELAR combines advanced converter architecture with carefully optimized filtering to deliver outstanding transparency and exceptionally linear frequency response. The result is reference-grade audio performance with natural analog character and extensive DSP flexibility for precise sound shaping.

Returns Policy

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the 'Complete Orders' link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

Easy 30 Day Return Policy

If you are dissatisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may return it to Kellards within 30 days of the purchase date, subject to the conditions and exclusions below.

You may initiate a return or exchange by requesting an RMA at sales@kellards.com.

Securely affix your return label to the outside of the shipping package. Return shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer. We recommend you ship via insured ground service with a tracking number. We cannot be responsible for lost packages.

Eligibility Conditions

Please read conditions below. If all conditions are not met, Kellards reserves the right to refuse the return or to charge a minimum 15% restocking fee. All returned items must be in new condition, in their original unaltered box (including an intact UPC code) and must include all packing material, blank warranty cards, manuals and accessories. Kellards can only refund the original purchase price. Shipping and handling fees are nonrefundable.

Please allow 3-5 business days for mail-in exchanges to be processed.

Refunds & Credits

Once we receive and inspect your item(s), we will credit your account. Please allow 5-7 days for a credit to appear on your account. In most cases, we will issue your refund in the same way you made the original purchase.
